This too shall pass. The one constant in this universe is that everything changes. Remind yourself of this and you'll suffer less. You'll get disheartened less often and less intensely. And — back to our original purpose — you'll deal with conflict better.

There are three things that last: faith, hope, and love.

Dropping expectations and realizing that pain is temporary can decrease the amount of pain one might experiance in life. But without any faith in mankind, hope for tomorrow, and love for one another, we would be in a very sorry state indeed.

Although an argument with my husband is temporary, and I know the frustration I may be feeling will pass, I know my love for him is the one constant, and if I didn't know that to begin with, arguments with him would indeed be a lot more stressfull.
