Baby Born With Third Arm

Doctors in Shanghai on Tuesday were considering surgery options for a 2-month-old boy born with an unusually well-formed third arm. Neither of the boy's two left arms is fully functional and tests have so far been unable to determine which was more developed, said Dr. Chen Bochang, head of the orthopedics department at Shanghai Children's Medical Center.

This is evolution, happening right in front of your eyes people. Every once in a (rare) while, strange new things happen. Sometimes these things are good, sometimes they are bad. But they happen. This is how complex animals evolve from simple ones, a limb duplicated here, a more/less sensitive patch of skin there, etc, over the eons.

3rd arm....

My mom always said she needed a 3rd hand... I don't think this is quite what she had in mind. (And evolution is much more complex than an oddity here and there... but you know this.)
